It is with great pleasure that I recommend Melissa Price-Mitchell and her outstanding work as a member of the Publishing Services team. I managed Melissa directly for nearly 10 years. She was known at GK for her “can do” attitude and high quality of work. She was an invaluable team member who collaborated on projects across all lines of business and departments. Melissa often went above and beyond when supporting both internal and external customers.

She was frequently recognized by her colleagues for her solution-oriented attitude and willingness to help. Melissa’s work enabled her internal GK customers (project managers, sales, program managers, marketing, etc.) to consistently fulfill on commitments to their external customers with thoughtful attention to quality and creativity. She was dedicated to completing work as efficiently as possible and contributed thoughts and ideas to improving the way GK did things. She took pride in her work and made sure things were done as they should be.

Melissa has an amazing talent for taking ideas and making them visual. This goes far beyond producing content from an outline. This is a talent to fully understand the message and being able to distill it in away that is immediately recognizable to it’s intended audience.

I have worked with GK for several years as a Consultant, and have always been amazed at how the publishing services team was able to take my vague ideas for visual representations and turn them into stunning layouts and graphics. I only recently found out that this ‘team’ consists of Melissa Price-Mitchell, and that she has been the creative force behind so many highly professional and engaging images and design layouts I have admired over the years.

On my current project, I began working directly with Melissa. She has taken time out of her extremely busy schedule to get me up-to-speed on how she and the team work, to answer questions about the project, and to bounce around some ideas for layout and design. With my requests, at best I am able to provide her with written words and a vague idea of what I am looking for, usually along with some scribbles and boxes and arrows on a screenshot that I am sure most people could not decipher. Without exception, she quickly comes back with visually compelling images and layouts that communicate, sometimes quite complex and detailed information, in a way the client can easily understand. I do find myself amazed at her talent and willingness to step in whenever and wherever she is needed.

I have never worked with anyone more competent or professional who I can rely on completely and who always pulls through, and even finds time to add a bit of emotional support to her team members to boot. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again… any time!

Melissa was a great partner in helping me complete projects while at GK. She was patient, professional and quick to produce whatever it was I needed. I was impressed with how she took a few words/ideas from our marketing department and made them visually appealing, effective and true to the message.
