Hi! I’m Melissa Price-Mitchell
I founded Perceptive Communications to help my clients shape their creative vision. I work as a creative partner, turning ideas into clear, compelling content that feels good and brings success by creating confidence in your brand. I am especially excited to work with clients who are new to, or are evolving their businesses.
Before I started Perceptive, I worked in corporate training providing creative services. I was an in-house graphic designer producing sales and marketing materials. I also served external clients from many industries by designing customized learning materials for large- and small-scale training programs. The training programs I’ve worked on have helped hundreds of people perform more effectively at their jobs and contribute to their organization’s strategic objectives.
Throughout my career, I have worked with clients from varied industry sectors such as:
- Canada Post
- Bell
- SaskTel
- TELUS
- E-Comm 911
- Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)
- The Province of Ontario (multiple ministries)
- BC Pension Corporation
- Walmart
Why Perceptive?
From the Merriam-Webster dictionary:
perceptive: adjective per·cep·tive | \ pər-ˈsep-tiv \
1: responsive to sensory stimuli : DISCERNING // a perceptive eye
2a: capable of or exhibiting keen perception : OBSERVANT // a perceptive scholar
2b: characterized by sympathetic understanding or insight
Perceptive Communications was named with considered intent. Graphic design is more than making things look pretty; it’s about communicating with people. Distilling complex ideas into easy-to-understand visuals and text. Beauty with substance. Discerning, observant, insightful. Perceptive.
